It’s even possible to pick out some of the EDM-inspired touches that originate from Changing of the Seasons, such as the synth lines and distorted melodic accents in the track “Ordinary.” In all respects, Gameshow is an homage to the musical path Two Door Cinema Club has taken. Gameshow takes the fast-paced, driven feel of Two Door Cinema Club’s first album, Tourist History, and the more laid-back and soft-spoken mood of Beacon and brings them together to create a blend of every facet of Two Door Cinema Club that we’ve heard so far. Full details for the tour, as well as their performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live can be found below.Four years after the release of their second album, Beacon, and three years after the release of the Changing of the Seasons EP, Irish alt-Rock trio Two Door Cinema Club has finally delivered on its promises of a third full-length release: the energetic yet slightly reserved Gameshow. Two Door Cinema Club are wrapping up their North American shows at the end of the year before coming to the U.K in early 2017.

Frontman Alex Trimble promises that the new album will stand out among the rest of the pop scene, saying that this time the band is "not embracing the pop that’s going on now in a melodic or structural sense.” Trimble says that Gameshow instead draws inspiration from figures like the late Prince and Bowie, calling them "both total pioneers who straddled that line between out-there pop and avant garde craziness.” It's been a long time coming, as this is the first album since 2012's Beacon. With strong strobe lights to match the track's unforgettable dance beat, the band made it clear that they were back in the game.

Earlier this week, Two Door Cinema Club performed the title track of their new album, Gameshow on the late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live.
